About the manor
For the first time in Latvia, a unique opportunity has presented itself to lend your hand in renovating architectural landmark and to make your name known for the future generation. Padure Manor is a beautiful classicism building in Latvia, near Kuldīga, that is worth seeing due to its wall paintings, original doors, windows, stairs and floors. Next to the manor, there is a historical park with more than a hundred eighty years old linden alley. The manor has never seen extensive rebuilding, and as a result, it has retained its original layout, details, feeling and interior. It can be considered as a unique example of architectural tendencies of the late 19th century in Latvia, and the interior design of the same time period and the beginning of the 20th century further enhance its value. Since 2015 renovations have been taking place at the manor, while the manor has hosted various cultural and entertainment events. You can learn more by following the manor on Facebook and Instagram.
About the project
The Padure Manor Association has partnered with the French crowdfunding platform Dartagnans.fr to run a fundraising campaign from March 9 to April 6. Its main goal is to raise funding for the renovation of the entry portico. The first threshold is 5000 EUR, that would allow reconstruction of the columns. If 14 000 EUR would be reached, the whole portico will be renovated.
Names of all contributors will be sealed within a time capsule, that will be mortised within the manor for the discovery of future generations. Depending on the contribution a unique gift shall be awarded.
15 EUR or more – you will receive a personalized post-card and will be invited to tour the manor together with the owner.
50 EUR or more – two credit card safeguards with Padure manor logo..
100 EUR – you will be able to attend a wine tasting at the manor, where you will be able to taste wines of Smilskalnu brewery and hear tales of their making process.
500 EUR or more – overnight stay at the manor with breakfast on the terrace, enjoyed while listening to bird songs.
999 EUR or more – you will be able to enjoy diner for 4 persons at the garden terrace of the manor. The menu you will contain historical items from the cooking books of chefs of old from the manor. The meal shall be enhanced by local berry wine and natural linden blossom tea. You will be able to enjoy the full charm of the Latvian countryside!
