Oh, May! The month when nature finally awakens in all its glory and the ancient walls of Padure Manor literally bloom alongside the first leaves of the lime tree avenue. This month has been incredibly vibrant for us, filled with laughter, music, love, and a creative spark.
Let’s look back together at how we spent this beautiful intersection of spring and summer!
A Creative Spring Start and a Celebration Worthy of a Lord
May entered the manor swiftly and confidently – with several beautiful bookings. A special joy and creative buzz filled the days when a costume designer from Lithuania stayed with us. The historic atmosphere and authentic interiors provide the ideal environment for art to be born, and we never tire of seeing the magnetic attraction the manor holds for creative professionals.
Already by the second weekend of the month, a particularly festive mood filled the manor park and halls. One of the largest shareholders of the manor, Marģers Funka, celebrated his milestone jubilee surrounded by a wide circle of friends and relatives. It was a proper, heartwarming, and high-energy party! After dancing and long conversations, some of the guests headed to enjoy the peace of the manor, staying overnight in our beautiful, historic rooms to wake up to birdsong in the manor park.
Architects, Innovation, and the Heat of the Dance Floor
In the middle of May, the manor became a meeting place for professionals. In cooperation with the company Sakret, we hosted the Latvian Association of Architects. During the tour, we explored the architectural pearls of the manor, discussed restoration challenges, and, of course, enjoyed a delicious meal and well-deserved relaxation in an inspiring environment.
A note from the history pages: We had just waved goodbye to the architects when the next day – May 16th – the manor’s floorboards were already shaking to a completely different rhythm.
It was time for the already legendary Padure Manor disco! Nearly 200 passionate dancers, the best music from the 80s and 90s, and an energy that literally burst through the windows. The music echoed until two in the morning, and trust me, many were still asking for an extension. These nights at the manor truly stick in your memory!
A Celebration of Love in the Lime Avenue and Visits from Neighbors
And then came the moment we had all been waiting for – on May 21st, the first wedding of the season was celebrated at the manor! A lovely and deeply-in-love couple said their big “I do” at the very end of the manor’s romantic lime tree avenue. Afterward, the celebration moved to the grand hall of the manor, where guests enjoyed an exquisite wedding feast and celebrated love until dawn. May they be happy and prosperous!
On Saturday, we opened our doors to our neighbors – historic building enthusiasts from Estonia. It was a fantastic experience: sharing stories, presenting the manor’s development concept, and seeing the genuine admiration in their eyes as this cultural heritage comes back to life step by step.
Camera Clicks and Creative Dreams in Conclusion
We wrapped up the month on a vibrant and visually magical note. The photo retreat organized by Klinta Klanēja brought together many diverse photo artists from all over Latvia. The unique atmosphere of the manor, the light breaking through the ancient windows, and the historic aura served as a perfect canvas to realize bold creative dreams and ideas. The results are true works of art that will warm the heart for a long time to come.
May has flown by, but summer is just beginning! Thank you to everyone who was part of this story. We look forward to welcoming you to Padure Manor to create new, unforgettable moments together!
See you at the manor!
