March has been an incredibly active month. While nature was slowly waking up, we were working at full strength to ensure the name of Padure Manor resonates far beyond the borders of Latvia.
International Horizons and the Taste of Berlin
I started the month in Berlin at the world’s leading travel trade show, ITB Berlin. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with Lithuanian tour operators who showed keen interest in the manor as a destination for neighboring travelers.
Berlin brought even more exciting prospects:
Culinary Masterclasses: I had an individual meeting with a chef from Berlin who will soon visit us. We are planning summer masterclasses specifically for guests from Germany, blending the manor’s historic charm with high-end gastronomy.
Influencer Interest: I met numerous travel influencers who were captivated by the authenticity of Padure Manor. Their interest promises new ways to reach an international audience.
Networking and New Partnerships
To make the most of every day, mornings began with BNI breakfasts. This was a great platform to introduce new potential partners to the manor’s story. Additionally, I participated in the Kurzeme Tourism Association event in Liepāja to stay updated on industry trends and strengthen our regional ties.
Life at the Manor: Dancing and Distant Guests
On March 7th, the manor was alive with energy! The Big Padure Manor Disco gathered over 200 guests. Dancing in two halls, incredible period-appropriate costumes, and an atmosphere that is hard to put into words.
We also welcomed special visitors—New Zealanders of Latvian descent—who toured the manor. Their praise for the beautifully preserved state of the building was a heartening validation of our work.
Development and Warmth
Economic planning never stops. Together with the construction company JMK būve, we planned the next phase of works. Our main focus is the installation of a heat pump, a vital step for the manor’s sustainability and year-round comfort.
