July – art and lots of guests

Manor Diary – July

July at Padure Manor unfolded like a vivid and lively summer landscape. The month began with the plein air of artists from Saldus – colours and brushes painted the manor’s calm, its stories, and the breathing light of the countryside. The paintings were diverse – from delicate interior details to wide park views, each one offering a new perspective on this place. Like the sweetest ice cream on top of it all was Alīna Burlakova’s exhibition Hiperplombīrs, which blended wonderfully into the manor’s atmosphere and enriched its artistic image.

In July, the manor was full of movement and conversations – countless excursions, including travellers from “Impro”. The manor’s rooms, the park alley, and its stories opened their doors again and again to those seeking real, living history in Latvia – tales about the manor and about the TV series Pansija pilī filmed here.

The joy of celebration also entered the manor with weddings – especially memorable was the young couple who arrived at the gates in the most unusual and expensive wedding “car” – a Scania truck. The whole Padure parish and Kuldīga region spoke, and will long continue to speak, about this extraordinary wedding vehicle.

The co-owners of the manor also enjoyed their privileges – for this place is not only a historical building, but a shared dream and experience that belongs to those who believe in it. Many of them stayed overnight, enjoying the manor’s evenings and mornings, and the indescribable peace it provides.

This summer, the manor also became a creative space for music – the rock band Sever filmed a music video here, giving the rooms new sound and energy. You can watch the clip on YouTube.

Equally important – the manor is becoming ever more popular among travellers. In July, Airbnb reservations came from both Latvia and Lithuania, and the reviews are heartfelt – guests praise the tranquillity, the authentic atmosphere, and the feeling that time flows differently here.

July was proof that Padure Manor is not only about the past – it is alive, breathing, and increasingly inscribed in people’s hearts.
