January Silence and Spring Anticipation

January at Padure Manor arrived with a peace unique to historical walls in the depths of winter. While the manor was immersed in winter sleep and snowy silence, we never stopped for a moment. This was a time for planning and strategy – a moment when the manor’s future is drawn on paper and turned into concrete actions.

Looking Towards Spring Despite the frost outside, our thoughts were already on spring and summer events. We are thrilled by your interest – all tickets for the March 7th Disco are officially sold out! It is a fantastic start to a season that promises to be full of energy. We are also happy to announce that the Easter Brunch at the manor has been planned and announced. It will be an elegant spring morning where the manor’s atmosphere blends with festive flavors. Tickets are already available at bilesuserviss.lv, and we look forward to setting the tables for our guests.

Restoration as the Care for the Manor’s Soul Winter months at the manor are never idle – they are ideal for work requiring patience and precision. We have begun the restoration of windows and doors in the Virza and Ivy rooms. Seeing the historical wood regain its former luster is a special process that reminds us again and again of our responsibility towards this heritage. Parallelly, we are focusing on the manor’s sustainability and comfort:

  • Heating network design: We are working to ensure the manor is warm and cozy in every season.

  • Heritage preservation: We have submitted an application to the State Culture Capital Foundation (VKKF) to continue the restoration of the dining room ceiling. Our goal is to complete the second half of this magnificent ceiling painting so the room regains its full symmetry and beauty.

New Knowledge and International Contacts The manor is not just a building; it is part of a larger story. In January, I participated in an inspiring event organized by the “Aizputes renesanse” association, where we discussed the restoration and valorization of historical properties with industry colleagues. Such meetings help us find new ways to make Padure Manor even more attractive and meaningful. Furthermore, the manor’s story reached far beyond Latvia’s borders this month. By participating in 10 German BNI online groups, I had the opportunity to promote the manor and establish valuable contacts, which we hope will soon turn into new guests and international projects.

January has passed peacefully but purposefully. With this winter peace in our hearts, we are slowly opening the doors to spring. See you in Padure!
