In March, Padure Manor came alive with its own quiet rhythm.

Like a woman choosing her jewellery in front of the mirror each morning, we, too, added thoughtful touches week by week — small improvements to make our guests’ experience more harmonious and comfortable. The improvement works continue — lovingly, without haste, like a garden bed tended with care.

On the 8th of March, we welcomed particularly warm-hearted guests. Their visit ended with a beautiful photo session, where the manor’s light, quiet and details blended with their style and joy. A part of our home remained in those photographs — and a part of them stayed with us.

During the school holidays, the manor once again became a place of celebration for a family who has chosen Padure as their retreat for the third year in a row. With children’s laughter, calm meals, unhurried conversations, and evenings that belonged only to them. The manor is truly suited to families — spacious, peaceful, and full of room to be together and still breathe freely.

Another weekend arrived, bringing laughter in foreign languages and a Polish birthday celebration. It was a sparkling day — filled with music, a festive table, and a warmth that can’t be translated, only felt.

Then, like a spring breeze, came the master’s students from the Latvian Academy of Culture — those studying cultural heritage management and communication. They brought not only knowledge but also beautiful conversations, shared meals, walks through the village, and quiet moments by the fire. The manor became a place where one could feel, reflect, and rest all at once.

And on Sunday — a moment both heartwarming and forward-looking. Ornithologist Edgars Lediņš, our fellow manor shareholder, installed 20 nesting boxes for starlings in the manor park. Now they wait patiently for their winged residents. In May, the young birds will be ringed and will carry Padure’s name out into the world. A gentle connection to nature — a continuation of life and legacy.

Throughout the month, tourists continued to arrive. Some already knew that Pansija pilī had been filmed here, others discovered it with pleasant surprise. The manor reveals something different to each visitor — like a secret that opens only to those willing to look.

At the end of the month, Padure turned into a stage. A music video was filmed here, bringing the rooms to life and turning them into a space for creativity. Art feels at home in the manor. It doesn’t just live here — it is created here.

And as a beautiful final note, we received another heartfelt gift from our devoted manor cavalier, Andris Dzērve — two magnificent antique beds, full of quiet memory. They will now find their place in our rooms, continuing Padure’s story in their own way.

March at the manor was shaped by people, by nature, and by our shared moments. And as is fitting in spring — each event became a bud. Not yet a blossom. But soon.

Padure Manor — a place where stories never end.
