From 28 June 2025, Padure Manor presents the solo exhibition Hyper Ice Cream by Alīna Burlakova.
This exhibition is a vivid blend of oddity and irony, shaped into a coherent form of visual tension. It transports our everyday assumptions into a hyperreal landscape—quick, sweet, seemingly innocent—charged with an emotionally heightened subtext.
Viewers are invited to pause time, lift the “glazed” surface of the ice cream, and peer into spaces where the artist, through unrestrained gestures and impulsive flows of colour, creates a realm where the figurative and abstract coexist in one vessel.
Her paintings hover between fragility, naivety, and brutal sincerity—meant not to be understood, but tasted.
The exhibition challenges us to consider: do we truly “nest” in the comfort of the flat surface, or does something richer, more complex and vital lie beneath?

Opening on 28 June at 17:00, featuring a live performance by Vecā Druka (Edmunds Frīdvalds) and Sarma Gabrēna—leading voices in Latvia’s experimental music scene.
