Autumn breeze and art returning once again

September at Padure Manor was creative and full of life. A truly artistic atmosphere filled the rooms – quiet, light and people who create.

The exhibition “Pasaules atpakaļatburšana” continued throughout the month, and on the first weekend we welcomed artists Atis Jākobsons, Elizabete Attāls, Aigars Bikše, Jana Briķe and many others.
On 7 September, the event “Tea with the Artists” brought conversations, ideas and a warm sense of being together. The exhibition continues until 8 October and still lives in harmony with the manor.

September was also very active – numerous excursions, school groups, travellers and art lovers. We even welcomed our first visitor from Iran. It seems it is time to hang a world map on the wall – of course, a 19th-century one.

On 20 September, a photo camp took place at the manor, gathering more than a dozen photographers and models. In the old washhouse, Artūrs Lapiņš and Ēriks Zilbalodis created their exhibition “Mens sana in corpore sano”. You are warmly invited to see it – it is truly one of the most beautiful photo exhibitions ever shown at Padure.

The largest clean-up event in Padure Manor’s history took place on 27 September. One hundred members of the Jelgava Senior Society – our co-owners and friends – arrived to help. They cleaned the park, cleared the old linden alley, weeded the flowerbeds and planted narcissus bulbs from Eleja. Thanks to them, the manor is now ready for the autumn season.

After the work and a well-deserved meal, they delighted everyone with a beautiful concert, featuring:

  • Line Dance Group “Saulgriezes”

  • European Dance Group “Mītavas roze”

  • Folk Dance Ensemble “Luste”

  • Vocal Ensemble “Dziedātprieks”

The month ended with a wedding anniversary celebration – a peaceful, heartfelt evening that reminded us once again that the manor is alive.

A warm thank you to everyone who visited Padure Manor in September – to work, to create, to perform or simply to spend time here. Each of you is part of this place.

And if you are planning your own celebration – a wedding, anniversary or family gathering – you are warmly invited to host it at Padure Manor.
Here, celebrations gain a special meaning.
